Measure the maintained lawn, not just the parcel
A property’s total land area is not the same as its mowable lawn. Buildings, paving, planting beds and areas outside the requested scope need to be distinguished. Provide the address and available information for review. Any preliminary estimate should be confirmed against the actual maintained areas and access conditions.
Access and obstacles affect the work
Gates, slopes, narrow passages and obstacles can influence how a lawn is maintained. Explain where equipment can enter, whether vehicles block access and what areas need separate attention. Photographs can help the discussion but do not replace confirmation of the property’s conditions.
Frequency and current condition need agreement
Discuss the requested service frequency and the lawn’s starting condition. An initial cleanup or additional work may differ from routine mowing. Do not assume that a recurring visit includes every landscape task. The accepted scope should identify mowing, trimming, edging or other work that is actually included.
